Ingrown Nail Assessment
This appointment includes a comprehensive assessment of the ingrown toenail, as well as an evaluation of the foot and footwear. The ingrown toenail will be carefully removed, and the toe will be disinfected using isopropyl alcohol both before and after the procedure. Normal saline and iodine will also be applied post-removal to ensure thorough cleansing.
As minor bleeding may occur during the procedure, appropriate wound care will be provided, including the application of a sterile dressing to be worn for the first 24 hours. The nurse will also provide detailed aftercare instructions to help the patient maintain cleanliness and support proper healing. A follow-up appointment is typically scheduled within 1–2 weeks.
Initial Appointment $70
Ingrown Nail Assessment (follow up)
The follow-up visit allows time for inflammation and surrounding tissue to settle after the initial toenail removal. During this appointment, the toe will be reassessed to ensure that no nail spicules or remaining nail fragments are present and to confirm that the patient is no longer experiencing pain or discomfort. Further care or treatment will be provided if necessary.
Follow-Up Appointment $20
